Thursday, November 7

A panel discussion will follow featuring Kempower representatives sharing their insights into company culture and potential career opportunities. Open to current Duke students only.
Monday, November 11
12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Explore the promises and pitfalls of small modular reactor (SMR) development at this panel discussion. Hear directly from industry leaders as they offer insights into the future of nuclear energy in the South.
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Join us for a dinner discussion featuring experts in climate policy, energy research, clean energy finance, and sustainable energy advocacy. Delve into how individuals and organizations in the Southeast are innovating to achieve a cleaner energy future. Open to current Duke students only.
Tuesday, November 12
7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Interested in business solutions in electric mobility in Africa? The 12th annual Energy in Emerging Markets Case Competition invites graduate students from across the globe to solve real world, clean energy access challenges in emerging economies. Part of Energy Week at Duke, the competition is organized by the MBA Energy Club at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and is sponsored by the James E. Rogers Energy Access Project at Duke.
The 2024 competition will see student teams competing for $15,000 in prizes to propose innovative business based solutions to a real problem faced by our partner, Zembo, a Ugandan e-mobility pioneer company that aims to build the nation’s largest battery-swapping network for electric motorcycles.

Explore breakthrough projects from energy-tech companies, startups, and student groups at the Innovation Showcase. Discover how these innovations are driving sustainability and transforming the energy landscape. Light reception to follow.
Wednesday, November 13
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The 16th annual Duke University Energy Conference will leverage Duke’s reputation as an academic institution at the center of the global energy conversation to address the energy transition. This year, speakers will share insights about managing societal uncertainties while tackling the significant challenges posed by transforming our energy landscape, from upgrading the stability and storage capacity of the U.S. grid to ensuring that early-stage climate technology companies are well-equipped to achieve widespread commercialization.
