Duke University On-Campus Geothermal Site Visit

Featuring an on-campus trip to Duke University’s very own geothermal drill site. Hear from a geothermal expert and do an activity at the drill site to see geothermal energy in action. Open only to Duke Students.

From Policy to Progress: What IRA and IIJA Mean for Our Clean Energy Future

Join experts from Capitol Hill, state government, and nonprofit advocacy groups for a panel discussion about these historic laws and what they mean for community development, sustainability efforts, and economic growth across the state of North Carolina. Light reception to follow. Open to all.

Energy in Emerging Markets Case Competition

The James E. Rogers Energy Access Project and the Fuqua MBA Energy Club welcome all to view the Energy in Emerging Markets Case Competition – Final Round! The in-person final round will be held at the McClendon Auditorium (Fuqua School of Business) on Tuesday, November 7th. Teams from around the world have prepared innovative business models for this years case partner Okra Solar. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to network with other schools and see what it takes to make it to the final round of a global case competition.

Bringing the Transition Home: Energy Justice in NC

Join panelists from Vote Solar, EnerWealth Solutions, and the NC Environmental Justice Network to learn how energy injustice has manifested in North Carolina and how communities are coming together to create a better future energy system for us all. Coffee and cookies will be served. Open to all.

Community Dinner: Nourishing Conversations for Our Shared Climate Future

Join speakers from energy finance, renewable energy development and community organizing for a panel and dinner discussion at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens to explore how individuals and organizations can tackle the nuances of a just energy transition to create a better world for us all. Dinner will be served. Open to all.

Wednesday, November 8

Duke University Energy Conference

The 15th annual Duke University Energy Conference will highlight industry insights on the transformation of energy systems, finance, and technologies, featuring keynote speakers from NextEra Energy, Microsoft, and Breakthrough Energy Ventures. The agenda includes panels, a company expo, along with a light breakfast, lunch and networking reception. FREE for Duke students, faculty, and staff. Open to all.​

Unearthing Circularity: Redefining the Critical Mineral Lifecycle
