About Energy Week
Mission
Energy Week at Duke brings students, faculty, and industry professionals together for a week of energy events to promote collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and professional networking.
Sponsors and Advisors
Corporate sponsors generously help to underwrite Energy Week at Duke. Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment, & Sustainability and the Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE) at the Fuqua School of Business advise and support the Energy Week student organizers, and many other Duke schools and units assist with promotion of the event series.
History
In 2009, the MBA Energy Club began organizing the annual Duke University Energy Conference to feature insights from energy industry thought leaders. The club later added the Energy in Emerging Markets Case Competition, engaging students from top business schools throughout the country. In fall 2016, the MBA Energy Club joined with several other student energy clubs at Duke to extend energy programming over several days, creating the first annual Energy Week at Duke!
While Energy Week continues to evolve each year with new student leadership, the series consistently provides over 1,000 students and professionals with opportunities to learn more about energy policy, technology, and business at the Conference and other events.
