Duke Environment Hall is a relatively new 70,000-square-foot building that opened on April 10, 2014. It is a five-story glass-and-concrete building that is designed to meet or exceed the criteria for LEED Platinum, the highest level of LEED Certification.
The tour will commence on the bridge that leads to the 2nd floor of the building. Discussion about the rooftop PV solar panels, and a visit to the rooftop and basement is included in this tour. Lastly, green features that allow for different climate control settings for offices, classrooms, and common spaces will be discussed as well.
